starting up with adsense

August 28th 2007 08:20
Okay I've been looking at my stats and I've decided I will add Adsense to my Orble Blogs but I just checked the login for Google and I have a question or two .

It says provide primary url?

so do I just provide the orble.com url or add

/scholia and /you-should-read

do i need to give them links to every blog i do or is it an automatic progress?

and the adsense instructions say they do electronic transfer but they want your street addie?

How and can I tell them to put into paypal or my bank account

actually i would rather it went into paypal?

is it possible ???

Hi Julie,

You can provide orble.com as your primary URL without anything on the end.

You do not need to give them links to every blog. Once you have signed up you can ad as many sites as you like without telling them first.

I don't think it's possible to have your payments placed into your PayPal account. You need to have them put into a bank account or they can send you a check.

Yeah, google doesn't work with PayPal. I think thye're going to start competing with something caled 'Google Checkouts', I don't know when that will happen even if it does, so don't hold your breath.

They do take their time in mailing you that cheque thingamabob, I've been waiting for a good two months now.

Definitely worth setting up the electronic transfer if at all possible.

Is it possible? I don't think it is. Haven't actually looked into it.

Sure -- you can have an electronic transfer to many countries now. Including Oz.

Yeah, I just looked into it, apparently it was all setup. Can't remember setting it up but it was a long time ago.

Apparently I'm getting paid next month, even though I broke $100 three months ago, missed the 15th of that month, I must have been at like $99.95c or something...

Yeah, you can get direct deposits to Australia... it takes a while to setup though... you give your account # and BSB, and they'll deposit some small amount into your account, which you'll have to verify.

on the starting up with adsense topic, i have a q.
maybe someone can tell me:
I placed my adsense id in the myadsense link on my orble page. but at adsense i was given a code - html. do i need to install this html code somewhere here on my regular and domain blogs as well, or is inserting the client ID enough to get me earning a few cents?

I just this eve signed up for an AdSense account, and put in www.orble.com as the website to be advertised on. However, I received this from Google:

------------------------

Thank you for your interest in Google AdSense. Unfortunately, after
reviewing your application, we're unable to accept you into Google
AdSense at this time.

We did not approve your application for the reasons listed below.

Issues:

- Domain ownership not evident

---------------------

Further detail:

Domain ownership: The registration information for this domain does not
match the current company and contact information associated with your
account. In order to be accepted into this program, the domain
registration information must be consistent with the company
information that you have provided. If you can provide proof of domain
ownership, please reply to this email.

-------------------------

What should be done about this?

This seems to be a recent problem.

My suggested solution is to apply again, however this time create a regular Orble blog named after you (so the URL would be www.orble.com/tom-smith/ if your name is Tom Smith) and then create one post detailing what you did in the last 24 hours or something else regarding your life.

Then apply again using the URL which contains your name.

Hopefully this will convince Google that you do have control over the blog.

Jon.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried that today, but unfortunately I got the same response back from Google. I'm not exactly sure what would constitute "proof of domain ownership" in these circumstances, either.

Any other thoughts?

I'm receiving the same message when I try to register for AdSense ("domain name ownership not evident"). Wondering if anyone else has had this challenge and resolved it?
