Show the IP address on comments and block IP addresses

Here's for a second attempt.
Is it possible to show the IP address of the user who posts a comment on your blog? I know many sites that do this, and it's a great way to determine who's spamming your site and who's harassing you.
This will help users report back to Orble team about IP addresses that are flaming up posts and attacking to users, which leads to the team blocking IP addresses to potentially prevent that IP address from continuing the madness.
Although, there are flaws to this idea- blocking people at that IP address who are behaving and people still being able to change their IP address and continue harassing others- but it will cut out a lot of problems.
Personally, I'm tired of going through comments sections and having to read through the same people arguing with the same Anonymous person, especially when that anonymous person goes to my blogs and posts hateful things about women and other commentors. Yes, they can be deleted, but why should I have to go through the extra work to do that, when the IP address can simply be blocked?
And we all know it's the same person flaming blog posts....

We can block specific IP addresses, however it does not work that well as every time most broadband users turn on their modem they are given a new IP.
There are better ways of blocking people (than IP addresses) which we've also implemented but there is no foolproof way.

There isn't a foolproof method of blocking someone, but even blocking the IP addresses is better than nothing, and will block a good number of users.
Some sort of blocking method should definitely be implemented.

i know these options arent the best, as they may inhibit or prevent people from participating in discussion on your blog, but i know many Orble bloggers who use these measures temporarily if they are getting flamed
