Sharing blog posts

Sharing content for free seems to be the 'it' thing for people who want traffic, I think that would be a great idea.
If we could have a way we can allow other people to post our content directly to their blogs it would be a great way to generate free publicity, we could do it by giving access to the html of any orble blog post with the addition of a link that goes back to the original post.
Apparently media companies that do this tend to get huge boosts in traffic, one site (can't remember the name) trebled its traffic after allowing its content to be shared.
Of course we probably won't be seeing tripling of orbles traffic by allowing this sort of content sharing my point is that it works, so I think it is a good idea.

So people have our content but it links back to our blogs, free publicity really. It's one of those things that are under utilized on the internet, the ability to multiply the same content over and over again without loss.

I'm not sure I see the benefit with trackback - is that something that a lot of bloggers use?

a small problem with the orble network (unless there is another way around it that i haven't discovered yet), is that i can't reference another orble blog without them knowing that i was making a comment in regards to their work. so far, all i have been able to find is when i go through my stats each day and see where my hits have come from.
it kind of breaks the networking possibilities of blogging as such. it would be nice to be able to reference another bloggers stuff, and that automatically lets them know that i have made a comment in regards to their work. they could then reference back, and so on. i think it opens up another form of community development.
