RSS Feeds: How do they work? And ho can they help my blog?
I have a friendster account and noticed that when editting my profile, there is a section to add an RSS feed. I've seen other people use it to show frequent upddates of their blogs.
Howdo I use it? What URL do I type???

RSS feeds provide a way for people to view your blog in an RSS feed reader -- which friendster obviously has. This allows people to see all the latest posts from their favourite blogs on one page (which is automatically updated) without having to visit each blog in turn. So providing an RSS feed is a good way to cater to all those people who use RSS feed readers.
The RSS feed itself is just an agreed format for publishing a blog in a way which computers can understand. You can see the URL for your RSS feed (as well as the actual feed) by clicking on the button on your blog that looks like this one:
Blog search engines also use RSS feeds to scan blogs so having a feed is essential if you want sites like technorati.com to list your blog.
