Post Title Field Too Short

May 26th 2007 21:03
Hi, Orble Guys!

Is there any way that you can extend the Title field for our posts? I tend to write longer titles, and while these long titles are accepted by the software at the time the post is written and initially posted to the site without a problem, I've found that, whenever I go back into my post to modify it, or whenever I respond to comments made to the post, the end of my lengthier titles gets cut off.

Bottom line: I must remember every single time I either comment about or make any changes at all to those particular posts to be sure that I re-enter the balance of the title before saving; otherwise only half a title "graces" the posts in question! As you can well imagine, it's quite embarrassing to visit my blog later and notice that I've forgotten to do so and that, therefore, one or more of my posts sports an incomplete title!

Can you help?

Thanks!
Jeanne Dininni

P.S. When I modify my posts on the Writer's Forum, I am asked for an Orble Channel. What should I be putting in here?

Hi, Kleo!

Just came from posting congrats to you on your new domain blog (comment actually posted on your old Orble blog)!

Glad to be able to voice a question you've been wondering about yourself. I suspect you and I aren't the only ones who've been frustrated by this one, either.

I may be imagining things (It might just be wishful thinking), but while I haven't heard anything back from Jon on this question yet, the problem seems to have been corrected. I'm not finding the ends of any of my titles cut off of late.

Have you fixed it, Jon? Or have I, perhaps simply not modified the "right" posts to have the problem recur?

Thanks Kleo & Jon!
Jeanne

I think Jay has fixed this one though I have not tested it yet. I'll ask him.

Thanks, Guys!

It's funny, because I've noticed that, with at least one of my longer titles, it hasn't happened the last few times I've modified or added comments to the post. Interesting!

I'll still have a look, though sounds strange
