I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but...
Why does Orble tell me I get X number of hits, and Adsense tells me I get a much smller number of impressions?

One day I might better understand all of this stuff but at the moment I am confused. Help me please.

I'm not an expert on this stuff but I think impressions are the number of times the ad is viewed.. and google might not count multiple hits from the same person as an impression.. which is why your hits might be 400 but you only got 300 ad impressions. I might be wrong, but that's my guess.

Edit: Here's a more likely explanation. Sometimes if your blog doesn't have enough relevant keywords, Google won't have any ads to place on the page, therefore there is just a blank space where the ads go. And you receive a hit for the page view, but no impression because there weren't any ads.

How do you make sure this doesn't happen? Learn about SEO, keyword density, and ad relevancy.

also Carolyn Cordon orble takes half of whatever we make with adsense. So that's why number can be lower than what orble says.
