Notifications MIA

Hello...
I'm not getting notifications for new comments on my posts or on other posts (and yes I clicked 'Yes'...).
I'm also not getting new post notifications for blogs I am subscribed to...and earlier tonight, I subscribed to a blog and I still have not received my subscription notification.
At first I thought there was something wonky (technical term...) with my server but I noticed other Orblers have commented on this....
Help!

Why would I receive some and not all?
Why is this happening to not just me and why around the same time?
Can't just be a spam/junk folder problem.
However I will check but I'm not convinced this is the problem.

Jay is having a look at your account. In the meantime could you:
- Have a look at your spam/junk email folder. This is usually the problem. Although if you are still getting some notifications this would be strange.
- Let me know which blogs you have subscribed to - and which ones are not working for you. You do have a couple of subscriptions which have not been verified yet which would explain why they are not working. Although you may not have received the verification email in the first place.
Have you had problems with your email server before? Who do you use?

Well...no, my junk mail folder is not the problem.
I checked.
I have received quite a few notifications today (new posts and new comments on blogs I have commented on)....but....although I had more than one new comment on my last post, only one notification came through.
Also...if the blog moderator has replied to the comments seperately...only one notification comes through.
Hmmm...whoops, I can't quite remember all the blogs I have subscribed to but I do know that I had subscribed to 'An Extra Ordinary Life' (Lilla) ages ago but have never received a notification.
I subscribed to Stephen Larkham last night...
(oh boy, if you knew me Jon or knew anything about me...this would be really funny) (David's 'offshoot' blog) but still have not received a subscription notification.
...yet when I tried to subscribe again...Error: you are already subscribed...which is how I found out that I was (supposedly) subscribed to Lilla's blog.
No, I have not had problems with my server before.

ps. I am also having problems modifying a post I created in January. I would like to make it a spotlight post but it's just not happening. Is there a time limit set on doing something like this?

RSS is basically a way you can keep track of multiple blogs updating at different times, just download an RSS client and add the RSS feeds to it.
I know that sounds complicated, gah, it's 1am here so I'm probably not in the best state of mind to be explaining anything right now.
I'll get back to you tomorrow... erm.. I mean today... later.
