a) For some reason the plus sign won't show up here. I was reminded of this when I tried to use the sign in a message today, so I think it's an ongoing problem.
b) I can't seem to find the section of the site that allows you to upload a new banner? Sorry if I'm overlooking the obvious.
c) When I load the 'create new post' page on my forum, there's a blank field above the 'Post Title' and 'Content' sections which only says '(required)' - what is its function?

The plus sign is an HTML/URL entity, which is filtered out when the post is created. This is on my list of things to fix...

I believe you have done this now

I think you have somehow managed to create a blank Post Field. You can remove it by Modifying your Blog - the section on Post Fields is at the bottom. I presume you don't want any so select whatever is there and click Delete.
