I Accidentally Made My Blog Go All Ugly

Jon,

I know! I shouldn't mess about with things of which I know nothing.

I tried to change my blog colour scheme, stuffed it up, tried to get it back to how it was originally, and now it's ugly and there are no options coming up in the 'advanced theme options'.

Please help, or I will have to rename my blog to reflect my lack of intelligence in blog decor.

Jeepers -- how did you manage that? can you remember? You should not have been able to do what you actually did

I've returned you to the original format. Try to save your old format on the themes page before going to the Advanced section so you can always return if things don't go well.

I have no idea. It's no secret that I wreck everything technological.

Jon,

I have successfully changed the colours on my blog, but there is just one thing I can't work out: The border around my posts is silver at the top and plum the rest of the way around. I changed everything I could thing of to get it all one colour but haven't managed it. Can you tell me how to do it?
