How do I find & upload background?

Dear Jon,

How do I find & upload background images for my new blog site?

I wanted to use foggy misty backgrounds, for one blog, and every site I check out says you have to pay if it is for a commercial site. Of course, in my case, it is merely a technicality, but, if I do get any money, it becomes a commercial site.

So, where can I access images I can use, and can we use myspace stuff? Or do you have a background repository I can access?

I tried this,
you must join flickr first, then you must ask the copyright owner if you may use their photo...ok...so I could do that...but what I want are images that are available and free, non- copyrighted backgrounds.

Anyone have any ideas?

I would photo some myself, but my pooter won't download from the camera at the moment...until I can throw a few hundred away trying to get a bigger ram and CPU...

and so it goes on...

Flickr contains images lisenced under CC which means you can gat them for free for commercial use (if specified) Go to FLickr, do an Advanced search for images under creaticve commons for commercial work, make sure you attribute properly and let the person know (as a kindness).

OR Wikipedia comntains many public domain images.

Use Wikimedia Commons... it's the site that Wikipedia uses for the photos, and all the images on this site are freely usable:
