Combining Your Blogs
October 15th 2006 01:56
Hi I just wanted to know if you could AND if it is worth while to combine all your blogs under the one heading?
I have just been given a domain name...wait for the plug:1fortheroad.net and I was thinking perhaps it would be better to have all my blogs under this title.
What do you think?
Is it possible?

If you have a domain blog and are writing consistently we are usually more than happy to give you another domain blog to cater for any other subjects you would like to write on.

Awaiting your response-(and prepared to 'spit the dummy' if necessary.) (I'm American, can I do that??)
Thanks,

Rugby World Cup 2007
I actually sent these words to Jasmine via email so sorry for doubling up!
I have posted 2 umm...posts, on topics other than rugby. Funnily enough these proved to be quite popular (which I'm totally chuffed about!) and brought attention to my rugby posts.
BUT am I allowed to do this? After all my blog was given to me as a sporting, specifically rugby union blog and although I wrote something rugby related ("...I know this is not rugby related..."!) in the non-rugby posts... they are not specifically about rugby. Well...they're not about rugby at all.
I have created an 'Other than Rugby' category...is this allowed?
"I think in general it is better to keep each blog focused on a particular subject so that your readers know what to expect when they visit you."
Readers can always expect to read a rugby post from me...that's what Rucks and Rolls is predominantly about but can they can also expect an occasional non-rugby post? Especially if I sneak a rugby analogy or anecdote or even just the word rugby in the body of the post...!!
I've 'met' some lovely bloggers through my non-rugby posts who actually have then gone on to read my rugby posts and have expressed interest in learning more about Rugby or we've 'discussed' Rugby, etc
It seems to work as a way to generate traffic and to enlighten...Rugby Rucks!
I may be wrong and I'm sure you will tell me!
Thanks Jon.
