I was wondering if there is anyway to know what percentage ofyour hits is from google bots (and others). I know every old post on my blog seems to make one hit (precisely one) and it just seems wierd it is, I doubt those hits are coming from humans.

I think that is what the Click Readers statistic is. Not sure how Jon works this out though. There must be a post on statistics here somewhere...

Well I'm 99% sure that click readers are only readers that actually click on something on yoru site, so I assume all click readers would be human.

*But* there sitll would be human readers who don't click, wouldn't there? Like type in the URL manually and stuff.

Yeah, exactly - that's what the article I linked to says.

I don't think there is any way to get an exact figure, not without recording IP addresses of known bots, but even then we'd probably get it wrong

I think you just have to guesstimate somewhere between the two values...
