I'm unable to embed videos from http://www.myjove.com/ on the Biology News site. I tested a YouTube video and was able to get that one embedded on Biology News. I also emailed the tech admin of MyJove and he pointed me to his blog http://nikitab.blogspot.com/ where he successfully embedded a video from MyJove. What am I doing wrong?

I think the problem is on orbles side, probably a small bug in the html imbedding, don't think it is your fualt.

<param value='#FFFFFF' name='bgcolor'>
<param value='file=http://www.myjove.com/files/-127400810/LightDark.flv' name='flashvars'>
</object>

Did that work? Maybe this will:

<object data='http://www.myjove.com/flvplayer.swf' type='application/x-shockwave-flash' height='200' width='200'>
<param value='#FFFFFF' name='bgcolor'>
<param value='file=http://www.myjove.com/files/-127400810/LightDark.flv' name='flashvars'>
</object>

It would appear you need to have a value in the height attribute...

just add this: height='200' in the object tag.

I don't know why they have omitted the height tag - maybe it is not required on some browsers? You'll just have to experiment to get the right height...

I can't get You Tube videos to embed...anyone have any suggestions?

put down

<you tube code etc>

without the '*''s and put the youtube code in between them
