Love and Hate
December 18th 2006 01:48
Firstly, letting you know, not angry. Just want to clear a few things up.
Not interested in this schoolyard rubbish of who likes who, who hates you. This is Orble. Not Myspace.
If you want to bring up some personal greivance on my blog, it will be deleted, especially if anonomous.
If you post with the intention of attacking me as an individual, or as part of a blogging group, I will ignore it.
If you are serious about needing to discuss something with me, I have an email, and a PM on Orble.
This is not just a personal post. This crap is messing stuff up all over this place. I reccoment every individual follows these steps and we should effectivly eliminate 90% of the trolling/flaming problem. Keep comments to the post. If it has nothing to do with the post, then think very cafefully about whether it is worth keeping.
Also, perhaps anonomous comments should be disabled in the writers forum,.I can't see they serve any purpose here, specifially.
Ooh, and maybe remove the Orble channel (or make a WF channel right up the top).
Blah, that's about it.

I'm sorry, is this about the post I just did on here??
I agree with everything you said. However, the only reason I suggested the block of individual bloggers, if needed, is to protect my site and my readers from the garbage that may be posted in my absences...that's all.
It would simply give a little more control, I think to the problem you have mentioned here in this post.

It's just become so exlicit that Orble has a trolling/flaming problem, that I thought it should probably be adressed in the correct forum.
Voices, I have never seen you as part of the problem. There be no hatin' here, yo.

Perhaps an option to not allow unregistered orble mebers to post would be beneficial to some blogs like downwrites blogger prompts for instance...
Sorry, correct me if I'm wrong but dosn't this feature exist already?

I think it's up to each blogger to determine how they will run their own blog but I think they should not be afraid to delete comments which they think do not fit with the Post.

I just thought, on the moment, that maybe it didn't need to be so on the writers forum.
