Hey everyone,
I just got a domain name blog here on Orble www.etvreviewer.com (shameless plug) but, I'm wondering how I can post up a banner on my site. I've seen a lot of other sites that have cool banners. I have a few made I just need to know how to put them up on my own site. As far as I can tell I can't find any place in the modify or theme section that allows me to do this. Please help...

Hi Aaron

Good to have you with us

If you have a domain Blog you can add a title image using the 'Title Image' option on the Themes > Advanced Settings page for your Blog. Just click 'Upload', select the file and then save your settings.

I'd advise a wide image (upto 800px) that's not too high (say 100px) so it doesn't take up too much browsing space. You can also change the background colour of your title if that does not match.

Yeah that looks money - though I'd be tempted to change the title background to the same colour as the page background...

Is this banner somethinng you created in photoshop?

I would like ot do a little something of my own but am not very good at that stuff - are there other programs I could use to create such a thing?

I use Corel Paint Shop Pro, which is pretty good. To be honest all the programs are much-of-a-muchness unless you want to pay big bucks for Adobe Photoshop. If you're a basic windows user have you tried using Microsoft Paint? It's not very good but it'll probably do the job. GIF support is a bit naff though, as I remember...

I've created a banner but when I upload it only the image icon comes up rather than the banner. The banner is saved as a jpeg, so I don't know what is the matter....please help!

Hi Tracy

Is this just happening on your My.Orble page or on your Blog as well? I think we were having a few problems with making images available across multiple domains so we decided it was best for them to appear on the Blog rather than My.Orble. I'll try to fix this though
