Can something be done about pictures throwing the whole alignment of the comments section out?

June 27th 2007 07:54
Can someone at Orble please inform Bloggers about how to post pics in the comments section?

I'm no IT expert. All I know is that if you don't alter the dimensions of the pic, it sends the text in the comments section off the screen and makes it impossible to read the complete text.

Thanks Jon

It's not a major problem but it has presented itself a few times.

I know I can delete the comment, and inform the person why I've done it, or write a PM to the person to get them to reduce the size of the pic, but I had a suspicion it might be something that could be fixed in the IT department.

That's why I brought it up.

Jon.

It's still happening.

The other thing that throws the post off the page is putting addys within the body of the text like ...

likewherethereisnobreakbetwee nthecharacters@nigerianSPAM.ho tmail.com

And yet, this doesn't happen on the Writers' Forum. I just added the two things that throw most Blog Posts off the page on the Writers' Forum and it didn't happen.

Is the Writers' Forum set up differently?

On the subject of pics; i opt to centre mine, but they always default to the left...

A post about inserting pics both in posts and comment, would be useful for many, i agree.

Thanks David and Jon,
~Lily

Lily,

Have a read of this link here and let me know if you find it useful.

Pics are set to align to the left by default. To centre the image, select "CENTER" but remember to select the "Wrap Text" option as "No". In HTML, this is "0" and not the "1" by default.

Ao far as I know, this is a problem more for users of IE than Firefox, so that might make thin easier as an blog owner.

david,

that's a nicely formatted picture. Comments look good with pictures!
