Breaking the Orble Mould.
August 13th 2007 06:30
Hey guys,
I'm probably new to all of this, so i just need some kind feedback and smiles. I've been reading a few posts on Orble for a numbr of months now, i find one of them so funny that i even bookmarked it as my way to get to Orble. That way i can see if there has been any new posts beofre i get to my site. Only from the occasional glances of the website did i finally come to the stupidly late conclusion that i would actaully love to write here aswell. Of course, i barely know the foundations of editing pages, adding pictures etc, but that's something i'm sure ill get used to with FAQ's and such things. The things i can't quite figure out or find are what i want to talk about here, as i'm sure, whilst it all gets talked about a lot, new posters, like myself will always be looking for advice.
So, the main problem i want to talk about firstly is how to get noticed! How do you make an established base of friends? Is friend adding as fickle as myspace? Where you don't know, or talk to half of the people you've added, all in an effort to get noticed? I think it'd be a great opportunity to get to know people, especially if writing is a similar passion to all of us, which it must be i guess. But how much communication can there be? Do you simply add people so they can vote for your blog, or do you wait until people add you as friends? I think the general subject i'm unclaer on is the social side to Orble. Whilst I'm not always keen to find a new wife to ad to my collection, it would be nice to get to know people on here, so any feedback/help appreciated. Much love.

If you're more seriosu about blogging then about Orble though, just gain CONTENT and PERSERVERE. You'll start getting noticed in about 6 months about, by Google.

It's strange and odd but being funny or articulate doesn't help as much asyou might think.
You can get a lot of attention just because you have a bunch of pictures of monkeys throwing poo.

Adding friends to your page is not really significant. MAKING friends is. If you visit blogs you like and leave genuine comments, usually they will visit you out of courtesy.
Just write, write a lot, and get around and keep at it. Be consistant. Everyone gets noticed sooner or later, but if you just chill, write what you love and read and comment on what interests you, it all happens.
