Has anyone noticed whether there is a particular blog layout that maximizes ad position and increases clicks and payout?

i think it is recommended to use one of the formats that is labelled "ads in text", there are four to choose from depending on where you want your columns and if you want it wide

when you post place the code [ADVERT] twice somewhere in the body of your text . . . i think the more in the way the ads are, the more likely people are to click on them

if you dont put the code in the ads will still be automatically placed but they might wind up mid-paragraph or interraupting a list, so i usually place them myself

if it looks too cluttered i will put one or both at the end of the article, but i think that reduces their effectiveness

Thanks Morgan, I am more along the lines of just curious as to how others have faired with the different layouts versus just trying to boost my earnings.

i think its really hard to tell because the weekly earnings increase over time anyway

i changed all my blogs to the wide ads in text quite early on in the piece when i was only earning a few cents a week anyway

ive read that you should try to insert ads right next to pictures, but im not sure how well that works (if at all)

Yea. I figure it's also hard to determine because of content and the ads that are displayed with the different content.

I just don't like the look of the ads next to the pictures. To me I don't know if people read the entire article if that's done because it takes up so much space of non-text.

I've got two that are wide with in text ads, both of which are my best paying blogs. But, I don't know if that's from content or what, as those are also my most trafficked blogs.
