AVG. Traffic for a NEW blog

Yeah I was just wondering what the average traffic for a brand new blog? (Well 3 days old now).

Does anyone know?
Or is it all just relative?

It's really relative to the topic that you're writing on. Music, for instance, doesn't bode well in the early stages. The best thing to do when starting a new blog, is basically get yourself known in your existing networks - tell all your friends, relatives, acquaintances (I annoyed them over MSN - worked quite well), and any and all websites you go to, if they have forums or some way of adding comments, subtly add your website to it. For the first month or two, a steady traffic of 20-40 is usually pretty good, but that's all relative to your efforts outside of the blog.

your traffic at the beginning will be tiny... it'll take a while to get indexed by search engines.

However, some of the new blogs have had spectacular success with a popular post. If you get a couple of posts to appear on the Orble popular post page, you'll probably see a rush of traffic.

Cibbuano: Thanks. I was just wondering. I just kind of wanted to pin point where I'm at right now. I started my blog on Tuesday and I'm 35 out of 619 and I was just wondering if that was good for a starting blog.
