Discrepancy Between Adsense and stats

Three of my blogs on which adsense in implimented regularly get 100 hits. One of them moves between 100 - 200.

My Adsense is counting page views of 20 - 60 per day.

Can anyone explain this?

Hits include robots and spambots etc which do not produce Google Page Views. That is why we include the Reader and Link Reader stats which are more reliable.

Still - It lists around 100 individual readers for three of my sites - then comes on adsense at around 42. It just feels odd.

Some sites seem to attract more traffic from spambots (which use different IP addresses for each page request) than others which bumps up the individual reader numbers. That's why we provide the link-reader numbers. The real number should be somewhere between the two.
