Adding Links on your Blog

I have been accepted into a group of blogging critics called www.blogcritics.com and they ask me to do this with my blog:

--Add http://blogcritics.org to the permanent blogroll/sidebar of your own site -- this is critical for our search engine page rank, which, in turn, we pass on to you. You can use a text link, or there are link-buttons available here: http://blogcritics.org/archives/2002/09/23/225352.php

How would I do this? I'm actually not quite sure what they are asking. Can someone please help me with this?

This is actually a community of critics that all have blogs and this place directs traffic to your blog. So it helps everyone involved. So I'd like to know how to do what they are asking me to do.

I guess we could add a blogroll -- do people think they would use it?

I have been reluctant in the past because most blog writers probably don't know if they are getting a "good deal" or not when they place someone on a blogroll -- and we don't want permanent links to sites which could hurt a blogs search engine rankings.

On the other hand it could be a good way to get some great incoming links from websites outside of Orble.

It's pretty crowded already on the sidebars... but a blogroll is pretty standard procedure...

I think blogcritics.com is a pretty reputable company. They've been doing a wonderful job of distributing my articles. But, it's all up to you guys.

Hey did we reach a conclusion on this? I've just joined Blogcritics, and hoping to do the same thing. I'm considering putting it into the new "text at the top of your blog" feature, but I think it would look better in the sidebar.

Don't put it at the top of your blog -- way too prominent.

I think we have decided to implement a blogroll -- it will just take a little time. Can everyone wait a week or two?
