A Few questions

June 11th 2009 22:52
I'm a new blogger, this is my first try at it and I have a few simple queries.

I've just taken over an inactive blog, can I change the title? If I can would I have to notify AdSense?

I develop my stories on a writing site, am I able to put them here as well? Or do posts to this site need to be original in content?

Am I allowed to put a link to the site where my stories are?

Thanks for reading this.

Lis.

I've just taken over an inactive blog, can I change the title?

yeah absolutely, you can change the title but not the url

a good example of this is Cibbuano's "20/20 Filmsight" blog, the domain on that one is www. moviecritic.com.au (CLICKHERE to view)

My Orble > Modify > Blog Tag

its the first drop-down box and you can enter any blog name you like there, regardless of domain name

or alternatively you could create a banner displaying the blog title of your choice

My Orble > Settings >Title Settings > Title Image > Upload

If I can would I have to notify AdSense?

no you dont have to notify Adsense, as long as your Adsense number is already registered with Orble all the blogs you own will automatically have your Adsense account affiliated with them, it is done by Orble admin

I develop my stories on a writing site, am I able to put them here as well? Or do posts to this site need to be original in content?

it is recommended that your content be original and unique to boost your search engine ranking, the spiders that crawl the net rank original content higher in their searches which will bring you more traffic

its not a strict rule (as in Terms & Conditions) but if you avoid duplicating content it will benefit you and your readership in the long run

Am I allowed to put a link to the site where my stories are?

yes you can put links to your other work in your posts, all writers are free to promote work they have created on other sites . . . you may want to provide an excerpt with and introduction or explanation and then link to the full article

Morgan:

Thanks so much for the information, it really helps. That's a really good idea about putting out a 'teaser' with a link.
